Alyssa is a Journeylevel Sprinkler Fitter with Chicago Local 281, first entering the trades in 2017. She is a dedicated and accomplished professional in the construction industry, serving as the Owner and Operator of Arez Service Group. With her roots in Texas, Alyssa brings a rich heritage and a strong work ethic to her role.
Alyssa's journey in the trades is characterized by her dedication to inclusivity and mentorship. She is actively involved with Chicago Women in Trades, a non-profit organization that supports and empowers aspiring tradeswomen. Additionally, Alyssa serves on the Human Relations Committee at Local 281, participating in outreach events to encourage women and young girls to pursue careers in the trades. She also fosters a sense of sisterhood and promotes union involvement among the Sisters of Local 281.
Recognizing the importance of diversity and representation, Alyssa founded Arez Service Group with the mission to increase the participation of People of Color and Women in the trades. Arez is building a more inclusive industry by partnering with local MBE and WBE suppliers and contractors, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to all.
Alyssa Gutierrez's leadership and vision continue to drive Arez Service Group towards a future where the trades are enriched by diverse talents and perspectives. Her dedication to her craft and community makes her a pivotal figure in the movement toward equality and inclusion in the trades industry.
